Flap fitting

Pretty straighforward fit up here, flaps are bolted to hinges and the fuselage holes are enlarged and shaped to receive the rod end bearings/rods as the flaps move thru their range of travel. It was fun to use the electric actuated flaps for the first time. The rods need to be shortened 1 1/4″ to achieve the desired start and finish location.

I need to find a flap position transducer for the Dynon Skyview system and install it. I think that gauging flap position would be difficult to do without some sort of position transducer.

The flaps sit nice and tight with the top wing skin in the up (zero) position. There is a 1/16″ gap on the bottom fuselage / flap intersection. I will try and tweek this gap and close it up.
